I have over 25 years leadership and management experience in schools. This includes being a Head of Department; Advanced Skills Practitioner; Deputy Headteacher; Associate Headteacher; Local Authority Consultant/Advisor ; an HMI; as well as setting up and managing my successful education consultancy called Pupils First UK Ltd.
Successfully worked with over 70 schools (primary and secondary) and various education establishments, local authority school improvement teams, the SSAT, Navigate Group and so on to support headteachers, governors and other school leaders to improve the effectiveness of leadership, management and quality of teaching.
Led over 50 inspections on behalf of Ofsted and since 2014, I have been an Ofsted team member
Advised and supported numerous schools to change their overall Ofsted inspection grade to ‘Outstanding’ from ‘Good’ and from ‘Requiring Improvement ‘to ‘Good’.
Delivered a vast number of INSET sessions across the UK from Stirling to Jersey at headteachers’ conferences; to whole staff in schools; on behalf of the National College of Teaching and Leadership; to governing bodies; on various school improvement aspects and improving the quality of teaching.
